Index Constituent Change
By predicting if companies will soon be dropped out or added into an index, CFD traders can take advantage of the changes this would cause.
If they can predict these movements and the resulting change in the index value effectively, CFD traders could purchase CFDs based on the movement of the index as a whole.
Director/Executive Trading Behaviour
Many investors carefully watch the trades a director will make with the stocks and stock options he has in his company. It is often a very good indicator of the direction the stock might move.
Example:
If a director is exercising stock options and selling the stocks, he may believe that the company is overvalued, and this could signal a CFD trader to short the stock.
